The Tiki is made from tulip wood, a sustainably harvested hardwood.Ā Its eyes are made from pÄua shell, our native abalone, found only in NZ waters.
The MÄori Tiki represents the first born human.Ā It can also represent the embryo, as well as connection to ancestors.Ā The tiki is considered to be a symbol of good luck, and of fertility.
