This greenstone mere necklace is made from genuine Ngai Tahu pounamu, sourced from the Hokitika area.
The mere is beautifully carved on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand. The necklace represents the pre-European artefact used both as a club and a tradeable taonga (treasure).
