This stoneware NZ Kiwi Bird Mug is chunky and quite a country style New Zealand souvenir.

The stone coloured mug is decorated with a New Zealand Kiwi bird image, and overlaid with a lovely glaze.  As you can see from the last photo, the glaze can range from predominantly blue to predominantly brown.  Each mug is unique.
